Run Forest Run!

On Saturday Kenny ran his first ever road race. It was a 5k with the proceeds going towards building disabled veterans homes. Me, my dad, and Patrick stopped by to cheer him on. He did great finishing 13th out of 130 with a time of 21 minutes and 39 seconds. Yay Kenny! Patrick loved the race. He got piggy backs and got to wave at planes which he calls babas.

Monkey See, Monkey Do

Lately Patrick has wanted to do everything Kenny and I do. That includes sleeping with blankets. Ever since he was a baby he has not liked anything covering him. He's a total nature boy. However, since the nights have been getting cooler he's been waking up at 4 am because he's cold. He wants a blanket and I've tried putting one on him, but he tosses and turns so much that he kicks it ,off and is whimpering again within 10 minutes. After about 45 minutes of this, I finally had him lay down, took a blanket off of my bed and tucked him in very tightly so he couldn't kick the blanket off. When I got up this morning he was still all tucked in.

Labor Day Part 3

Last but not least for now. On Labor Day it was Katie's 26th birthday. The family decided to throw a "surprise" birthday/bon voyage party for her because she's leaving for France for 8 months. Boo! I put surprise in quotes because anyone who knows my family, knows someone always spills the beans. Anyhoo, we had a great time. Bye for now!

Labor Day Part 2

On Sunday of Labor Day Kenny had to go to work so, Patrick and I headed over to Auntie's. We had a lovely visit with everyone. Patrick discovered he has a love of Cheetos, and even went as far as to steal and run away with Liam's last Cheeto.(Don't worry as soon as I stopped laughing, I took it from him and gave it back to Liam.)

Labor Day Part 1

Labor Day weekend was super busy for us. We had somewhere to go everyday. On Saturday, Patrick headed to Gamma's and Pa's for a sleepover, while Kenny and I headed to our friend Chrissy's wedding. The reception was in Newport, and it was absolutly beautiful. We had a great time and got some awesome pictures.

As I'm sure you've noticed, I have been slacking in my posting lately. Work has been crazy busy, and Patrick has been throwing himself a 3am party in his crib every night for the past two weeks. As a result, I've been too tired to do any posting. I am hoping to return soon. I have at least 4 posts I am dying to put up.
