Happy Father's Day

This Father's Day was an interesting one. Kenny and I have never spent one together. He always has to work. This year he decided to take the day off. It started early. I was getting Pat ready for breakfast while Kenny and Renee were sleeping. All of the sudden I heard the tell tale sign of a kid puking followed by the screaming. Poor Pat got sick all over the couch and then started crying, which woke up Renee. Because it was Father's Day I dealt with the puke while Kenny got Renee.

After I got Pat cleaned up he insisted he was fine and he wanted to go to breakfast. Kenny's parents arrived and we headed out. Pat chatted away while we waited for our food. Once it arrived Pat insisted we go home right away. I managed to get him outside, before he got sick again.

After a 3 hour nap, Pat began to feel better, and we actually salvaged a good afternoon. The weather was beautiful and we were able to eat out and have a nice picnic dinner. It was great having Kenny home for Father's Day, and I was glad we were able to still give him a nice afternoon.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend this year was busy but lots of fun. On Saturday we went to Kenny's parents and had a cookout. Sunday we went to Seekonk to support Kenny in his first road race of the season. It wasn't his best time, but he finished strong. Patrick had a great time. He loves to cheer on his Daddy. He can't wait until he is big enough to run with him.

Later that day we went to the carnival at La Salette with my parents and sister. Pat and I had a the best time. We're two peas in a pod. We even stayed late to ride a few more rides after all of the sleepy heads went home. :)

Monday was of course the parade. Usually, we go to the Attleboro parade. This year, however, we decided to try the Dighton/Rehoboth parade. The kids had a great time. We watched the parade from the end point so the kids had a great time. Pat had fun playing with the bands, and Renee loved clapping for everyone.
