Hoppy Easter

This Easter was fun. Diana and her crew were up for a visit so the poor Easter Bunny had to work overtime in the Johnson house. Hoppy Easter Everyone!

American Girl

This year I was able to take Renee to every girl's dream store....American Girl. Renee was totally enthralled. She loved going through the store picking out different outfits for both her and her new doll Isabelle. We even got to have lunch in the café. It was such a fun little outing. I'd love to go back in another few years.

Little Princess Turns 4

Renee Emeline Johnson. What can I say about my baby girl? She is quite an interesting character. She is so full of life and love. She is absolutely my little shadow. If I'm home she's never too far. She loves dance and getting her nails done, however, make no mistake. This girl knows how to get dirty. She does a good job keeping up with the boys, but loves hanging with the girls. She is quite the story teller too. She loves to make up stories to make her brother laugh. Sometimes it is hard to tell when she is joking and when she's not until she cracks up laughing. Patrick is still her best friend, and I love watching them play and take care of each other. I'm loving watching her grow and I can't wait to see how she changes and grows this year.

Baby Boy is 6

I can't believe my baby boy is 6. He continues to astound me daily. He is growing so big, so fast. He is so smart. He loves learning to read, and adores doing math problems. Sometimes he even has me quiz him in the car for fun. (Little weirdo)  He is also incredibly sensitive. He knows what is right, and if that doesn't happen he gets upset. He loves his family, and his animals. I know he is going to grow up to be such a caring wonderful adult. I love watching him grow and change daily. Even if it makes me sad to see how fast his childhood is going. I hope he knows how much I love him, and he will always be my best baby boy.

Cinderella's Royal Table

One of the things I really wanted to do at Disney was Cinderella's Royal Table. I had never been, but I knew that Patrick would like it, and Renee would be in heaven. Sure enough it was a magical night. The kids were given the royal treatment. They met all of the princesses and loved having the "fancy" night. Patrick even got a sword and Renee got a magical wand. What a way to Disney it up!

Disney Days

Our next few days at Disney passed quickly. We went to the Animal Kingdom, and MGM Studios. We even got to go to the luau at the Polynesian. The kids had an awesome time. They loved riding all of the rides, and even meeting the characters. That was such a huge change from even a year ago when they were terrified of them. It turns out I have quite the little daredevils. They wanted to ride every ride, even the scary ones. I couldn't believe that Patrick rode Expedition Everest, or that Renee rode The Tower of Terror. What I loved most of all, however, was how much we enjoyed spending the family time together.

Magic Kingdom

We started our first full day at Disney where else, but The Magic Kingdom. We started our morning with breakfast at the Polynesian. There we had an awesome family style breakfast and go to meet Lilo and Stitch. After breakfast we took the monorail over to the Magic Kingdom. It was wonderful to see how amazed the kids were by all of the sights. They wanted to do absolutely everything. I figured we would stop back at the hotel for everyone to take a rest. Nope. Not my kids. They were on the go from the time the park opened until it closed. We started our day on Thunder Mountain. Renee was just under the height limit so we put some lifts in her shoes. LOL. We hit all of the favorites, Buzz Lightyear, Small World, Pirates of the Carribean, and Tom Sawyer's Island. Poor Kenny ended up with the flu and had to go back to the hotel for a few hours to sleep. Luckily, he was feeling better around dinner time so he came back to join us. We had a fabulous dinner at Tony's on Main Street. Then we were front and center for the Electric Parade and Wishes fireworks.

Disney 2014

We were so fortunate that Santa brought us a trip to Disney for Christmas this year. The kids were so surprised! They had never been before, and Ken and I had not been since we were married ten years ago. I was able to take a few days off from work, so we flew down on a Wednesday in January, and were able to stay until Sunday. We stayed at the Port Orleans French Quarter which was very nice.

On Wednesday we woke up super early and drove the the airport. I think the kids were most excited about the plane ride since they had never been on one before. We flew on Jet Blue, and both the kids were fasinated that each seat had its own TV. The flight was smooth and uneventful.

Once we landed in Orlando we headed straight for the hotel. We unpacked quickly and took the kids on a shopping trip in Downtown Disney. They were both dying to go to Ride Makers, a place where they could each build their own remote control car. Renee built the cutest pink Mustang, and Patrick, of course, built his own monster truck. The Lego Store was also a big hit. The kids spent about an hour just building lego cars and racing them. That night the kids and I got to bed early so we could be fresh for the next day.
