Renee's Graduation

Major Milestone Alert!!!!
Watch out world Renee Emeline has graduated preschool! I was so proud of my little girls. She was so happy and proud of herself. One more step on her journey.

New Experiences

It's important to me that the kids have lots of new experiences. This year, I encouraged Patrick to try baseball. He was reluctant, but ended up really enjoying himself, especially since Daddy was his coach. Renee had been asking my to try horseback riding. She loved it, and is now bugging me to get her own horse.

Memorial Day 2015

The "unofficial" start of Summer began with me getting hurt. I'd been trying to run, and managed to fall on our straight, flat road, and sprain my ankle. Luckily, the weekend improved. The kids were so excited to be in the Memorial Day parade. And they looked so darn cute too. The day finished up with some illegal back of the truck riding.

Making Memories

A return to warm weather, meant a return to what our family prefers...... the outdoors and traveling. During the Spring, I took Patrick to the Science Museum. We also went to the zoo with the Doraz family. Finally, a return to our lifestyle.

Chickens

Finally, after what seemed like forever, winter ended. That brought some changes to our house. The most exciting was the chickens! The kids were so excited. We went to a class to learn how to care for them, and then got some Rhode Island Reds, and White Rocks. We started our own flock, and are looking forward to years of eggs.

Make your own fun

By the end of the Winter we were at our wits end with things to do. We kept having to create and make our own fun. Some of the things we did were a trip to a Splash park. We went out for ice cream. We created our own theme nights. (The one below was Dr. Suess night) We also went and visited local snow forts.

Cousin Fun Sleepover

Family is very important to me. I want my kids to know and love their extended family just like I did growing up. To that end, every chance I get I like to host cousin sleepovers. I always try to have activities planned. This time, it was Winter, and of course it was full of snow. So we did arts and crafts, set up targets for shooting, and did a movie night.

Snowiest Winter Ever!

We began the snowiest Winter ever with goodbye. After living with us for several months the situation with Diana and her kids living here was no longer working. We parted ways on poor terms, and she moved on. Shortly after that parting began the Winter from HELL. We received blizzard, after, blizzard, after blizzard. We ended up with over 9 feet of snow in the month of February alone. As much as my kids love the snow, even they were sick of it. We all welcomed Spring with open arms. (The final snow didn't melt until mid April)

A New Love

Patrick has been playing soccer since he was three. This year, however, he joined a team with a bunch of old friends, and some new ones from school. They called themselves the "Dighton Lightning". The indoor league was a learning experience for the kids. They lost every game in the regular season versus kids who were all a year older than them. In the tournaments, however, the boys won their bracket both times.

Christmas

This Christmas brought some happy memories. Both kids got what they really wanted. Pat got his remote control boat, and Birdie got her mailboxes. We spent Christmas Eve with my mom's family, and Christmas Day with Ken's parents.

Tis the Season

Tis the season to get ready for Christmas. We started the season with our annual trip to Bass Pro for our Christmas Pictures. We also went to the Dighton Tree Lighting with the kids. Our tree also came out beautiful! Renee and I made our 1st trip to the Enchanted Village at Jordan's, and Kenny and I went to New York for the first time. The kids also built some kick ass gingerbread houses!
