New Hampshire 2012

Our camping adventures continued this summer with a week at Saco River Campground. We went with the Doraz Family. It was our first time vacationing with another family. It was awesome. I couldn't believe how well all of the kids got along. The campground had everything you could possibly want to do. We floated down the rivver on tubes, and even go to ride in a giant shopping cart. The boys even invented a game called "Stinky Girl". Renee was the stinky girl, and chased the boys all over the place trying to get them with her stinky feet. We had great time at Story Land together. Everyone got turns choosing rides, and the kids had loved trading adults. The best part was even Renee and Jack were big enough to ride the rides. Renee's favorite ride was the rollar coaster, and Patrick's was "all of it." Santa's Village we decided to do on seperate days so we could have some family time. Our day was great. We rode all of the rides, and the kids had a wonderful time making gingerbread cookies. We had so many picturs from the week I had to chose some of my favorites. :)

Ben and Jerry's

My Dad's one requirement for camping in Vermont was taking a trip to Ben and Jerry's. Of course he received no strong objections. :)Both the kids had fun, and couldn't wait to try the ice cream. My Dad paid close attention to everything. (I think he maybe he wanted to steal a few secrets to make his own ice cream.) It was a super fun day full of family, fun and ICE CREAM.

Vermont Part 1

This past weekend Kenny, my brother and a few friends ran in the New England Tough Mudder. The race was 10 miles, and full of obstacles, like ice cold water, fire and electricity. The boys did great. They all finished the race, and no one sustained any major injuries.
The kids did great too. Pat had never ridden a ski lift before, and really wanted to try it. So, him and I took the lift to the top of the mountain to surprise the boys. He loved the ski lift ride, and then we had to hike down the mountain. All the way down, he kept saying "I'm a tough mudder. I'm a tough mudder." Renee did great too. While Pat and I were off our adventure she was a trooper and hung out with my Mom and my Dad.

I think the sign says it all.

I'm a Big Kid Now

Every night at bed time, I put Pat and Renee down, and they are usually asleep within 15-30 minutes. However, over the past several weeks they have been ganging up on me. It started with Patrick getting up and getting books for both him and Renee so they could "read" until they got sleepy. I thought it was adorable. Of course, they have now taken it to another level. They've begun jumping, laughing and giggling for about an hour. As long as they stay in their beds I was fine with it. I love how close they are becoming.
Last week, they started kicking the sides of their beds. I put a stop to it, but not fast enough. Renee managed to kick out the side of her crib. So the other night, I pulled off the rail and pushed her bed up against Pat's. They look so cute together, and Renee loves being a "big girl". Renee has managed the transition pretty well. She is getting up way too early, but hopefully that will end soon. I of course am a little sad, because it's just another step away from being a baby.

My Baby Turns Two!

Miss Renee Emeline is now two. She is a feisty, funny little princess. She's little for her age, but makes up for it with her BIG personality! She adores her big brother, but doesn't hesitate to tell if he is being fresh. She loves to do things on her own, but still loves her snuggles too. She loves to watch The Cat in the Hat with Grammie, so for her 2nd birthday we had a Cat in the Hat party. It was a nice sunny April day. I made a ton of food, and the little princess seemed to really enjoy her day.

Pat's Birthday Party

This year for his birthday Patrick asked for a Special Agent Oso party. This proved to be a more difficult party to plan than I originally thought. There are almost no party supplies for an Oso birthday, but I think it turned out nicely. Once again we had perfect weather. Patrick really enjoyed playing with his friends from school. He received a ton of presents, and had a great day.

Patrick is 4!

My little man is now four. I can't believe it. He is such a sunny, happy active little boy. He is curious, and wants to know everything about everything. He talks and questions everything from the time he wakes up, until the time he goes to bed. He is sweet, funny, and usually a great big brother to his little sister. He makes my world a happier place, and I am so blessed to have him in my life.
